About this layer
Lode claims relate to mineral deposits in solid rock, such as veins. Use their mapped areas to understand current mining interests and compare them with geology. A claim is not evidence of a surface nugget or permission to work there.
What it is for
Check the legend, status and available record details. Confirm the current record and relevant access arrangements before visiting.
Limits
Applications and granted rights are different. A mapped boundary alone does not tell you whether detecting is permitted.
