About this layer

Stream concentrate samples test the heavier minerals separated from creek sediment. Concentrating the sample can make small traces easier to detect. Compare results with other concentrate samples, because they are not directly comparable with ordinary sediment or soil.

What it is for

Check the sample type, element and units in the legend before comparing readings. Look for patterns across nearby samples.

Limits

Sampling methods, depth and laboratory detection limits can differ. A high reading alone does not show a detectable nugget.
