About this layer

Radiometric surveys measure natural radiation associated with minerals near the ground surface. A three-colour image combines potassium, thorium and uranium responses to highlight changes in surface material. The colours do not show gold directly.

What it is for

Compare changes in colour with the geology. Read the legend before interpreting the colour combinations.

Limits

Colours describe radiometric response, not gold content. Surface cover and the survey can affect the pattern.
